The 2nd edition of the Classic Film Market took place
on Wednesday 15, Thursday 16 and Friday, October 17, 2014

The program

The Heritage: A global economy, a classic film market, industry professionals.

For three days, film industry professionals (producers, distributors, cinema operators, television broadcasters, rights holders, institutional organizations ...) gather to discuss and exchange views on the present state and the future of classic cinema, its challenges and opportunities in a changing environment.

• Symposium: Lectures hosted by industry professionals on themes relating to classic cinema.

• An area dedicated to the MFC: From Wednesday, the Classic Films Market is located in the Lumière Village. It will include stands, meeting points, as well as places where discussions and business can take place. A projection room is also be available.

• A “Distributers’ Day”, where DVD labels, distributors or film libraries can present their catalog and screen film clips from their line-ups.

• Lumière festival screenings: Free for Market accredited members.

• Lunches and meetings.

• A Market area in the Lumière Festival Village, rue du Premier-Film, where the Cinematograph was invented.

After the success of the first edition the Classic Film Market was held from Wednesday, October 15th to Friday, October 17th in Lyon during the Festival Lumière.
