In Affiliation with the Lumière festival

When the cinema and live performance play off each other…
The Lumière festival is pleased to be affiliated with events at the Maison de la Danse (House of Dance) and the Théâtre des Ateliers (Theater of Workshops).

Hors-champ (Off-camera) by Michèle Noiret, October 16 and 17 at the Maison de la Danse.

Belgian choreography delves deeper into the art of "dance-cinema" with a scenic production of a back-and-forth between the dancers, continuously filmed by a cameraman, and projected images. The result is at once chorographic and theatrical, as well as filmic. Allusions to the cinema include The Trial by Orson Welles, the enigmatic world of David Lynch, or the universe of Ingmar Bergman.

Rêves Kafka (Dreams Kafka) by Philippe Vincent, October 14-18 at the Théâtre des Ateliers

Cinematographic Nightmare -
Live theater and cinema.
Based on the universe of Franz Kafka or Orson Welles, a cinematographic show proposes-two perceptions, two different experiences, of a single situation. Audiences will find themselves plunged into a fluid and double world.
